I'd say that it's a good thing that I wasn't planning on inviting them inside then. My dogs are precious in my eyes and are welcome anywhere in my house, like beloved family members. Doesn't change based on what anyone else might say - don't trust what others think is/is not important very often anyway. Wrong priorities.
