You're entitled to your opinion, but I think you could be a little more tactful. I have never heard an owner say that a mild dye (kool-aid, food coloring, real dog hair dye) has irritated their dog's skin. Of course, that doesn't mean it's impossible, so sure, if it makes your dog uncomfortable, don't do it.
