Two of the four girls I had went to a home where the new owners had to put down their yorkie within the past year that they had had because of old age and health problems. They had had them for their whole life span. I think one was 17 years old and the other was close to that. That was a big plus to me, but so sad, but I knew that they already knew the big committment they were making and would keep the dog for life.
Everyone of them still sends me pictures and keeps me updated on how they are doing.
