Yes, Jo-Jo they do range in size like the regular yorkies, that is correct. As far as their markings go to be a Biewer they must met their breed standard that is set forth for them. They MUST have four white legs, belly and white on the end of their tails.(No tail docking) The white on the tail can be as little as a 1/2 inch to all the tail being white. They should carry three colors on their heads in good symmetry. The body can be black and or black and white, some of the bodies are also all white with very little black. So the markings in the head,tail and the body can differ, but never the legs and belly. I hope this helps you a little.
