Yes the program should save it as a gif, but you won't always see it moving if you look in one of your files. It depends how you have the actual folder viewing settings. For windows, if I set the settings to "filmstrip" I can see the avatar moving right on my computer page, otherwise it doesn't look like it's moving. You can try uploading it to the test forum to see if it works.
