I think he was responding to one of those fangirls standing by the stage probably doing the same. It's sort of a rocker kind of thing to do.
What got me laughing to tears was the last part of Danny's performance and also on the playback/vote clips at the end of the night. They had played the screaming part for Danny's clip. ROFL. This was one hilarious moment in all of the seasons I've watched on AI. I haven't watched them all, but I've watched enough. LOL. No matter how many times I play back the performance, I can't help but burst out in laughter. It really does crack me up.
