You really need to find out as much about the breed as you can. Yorkies are wonderful dogs but unfortunately prone to numerous health and behavior problems due to bad breeding. After you do research on the breed, you need to find out as much as you can about the breeder you are getting the yorkie from. Unfortunately, they are very popular right now which always comes with an influx of badly bred pups that can end up costing you a fortune in the future.
If you need help researching your breeder, you can post the information here and people can help you. If it is not a reputable breeder or turns out to be a puppy mill, sometimes it is better to forgo your deposit than end up with a sick pup. Health contracts are very important!!
