So for the past three years I have put my ficus tree out on the porch in the same spot. Each year a cardinal family has made a nest and we have watched the little babies grow and eventually fly away. Last year we had a wren (if I remember right) make a nest right after the cardinals left...we ended up with two nests in the tree..

So... I put the tree out in the same spot this year and wouldn't you know it.. a robyn has decided to take over the tree. I don't think there is much room for sharing.. the robyn has made a nest much bigger than that of the cardinal. Can't wait to see the little robyn babies!
