You should probably be posting this in the Breeders section of the forum to maybe get the answers you need.

That being said, I think puppies at any age can come upon health problems especially if they have pre-existing problems already. On average, 8 weeks is a safe age to go to their new homes as long as they're not too tiny, eat well, play well. The preference for 10-12 weeks over 8 has more to do with puppy and litter/mom socialization especially when we're not referring to the smaller pups who has other things to worry about like hypoglycemia. If the breeder is already sending them home at 6 weeks, were the pups force weened much earlier on? I do hope the pups were doing good on solid foods before the breeder considers sending them off.
