That's funny because I just had to get rid of all of my throw rugs, including the front door mat. My guys will go into the bathroom and pee on the towel my kids put down to stand on after a shower. I just want to kill them. They know where the pad is and they go outside quite often. My Trixie will even go into my laundry room and poop on the rug I have in front of the washer/dryer. My dh says maybe we should just completely carpet the floors with pee pee pads. Coco just will barely put his front nails on the pad and then pee. He doesn't realize that the pee comes out the back??? ARGH!!!
