Yes, I transported the dogs yesterday and that is when the lady that owns the rescue offered to help her find a chi. I know that I should give it some time... I'm going to wait to see what she says to her husband.
I think Tink was around 7-9? I am not sure... |
Ahhh...so sad. This is a terrible accident. Something that was meant to be good...just going bad...You and She are good people and somehow you will be able to overcome this.
I don't know why this has happened, but it did, and now this must be a lesson to be learned ~ for you and she and for us too!
When you are in rescue, you want to save them all, and that's a great thing...but...sometimes, as hard as it is, sometimes, we just have to say no ~ I hope in time you will be able to feel no guilt, as this isn't your fault. You have a good heart, a good helping heart
I think you need to let your friend grieve a little bit. Being that Tink was at least 7 y/o - there's a lot of memories and long time of love involved. Let her husband feel her out about it. (also...if it were me, I'd want to be involved with the "picking" of my next dog
