My husband and I are both retired and are with our Yorkie 24/7 on most days. However, when we do go out and leave her behind, she gives us about a 2-hour cold shoulder and wide berth when we return. She pouts until she's ready to "forgive" us and there's nothing we can do to speed up the process.
She does the same thing to me after I bathe her but it doesn't last quite as long. She is ticked though that I've changed her scent with the bath. She rolls around on all her favorite things trying to regain her smell. Until she regains her "identity" she is very aloof to me. |
