Here in Omaha, the number of animals allowed in one household is 3 dogs and 5 cats. You can however apply for a pet avocation permit ($100 initial fee and $50 per year after) which allows a person 5 dogs and up to 6 cats, but not more than 8 animals. I had 4 yorkies at one point and had to apply for the permit & pay the fee. The AC people actually had to come to the house to "inspect" it and the yard. Of course I passed easily.
At the moment I have 3 yorkies, so I'm good to go for two more.
I don't exactly like that I have to pay a pet fee, especially when then allow a person to have more cats than dogs
, but I will do what I have to & consider it my donation to the humane society.
