Default New behavior

I notice she does this with larger dogs only. She did it a bit at my moms house with my moms boxer but I kind of brushed it off, but now I am starting to not like this behavior and want to correct it before I allow my sweet baby to be evil! Stormy will stand her ground with any other dog that she feels is "bugging" her, if that be a bone or treat, she will show her teeth and give a little growl/cry type thing. She started to do this at my moms and she does it at both dogs. But if I am holding her and my moms dog comes up to me to give kisses or anything Stormy will snap at her a little bit, she won't bite, she will kind of snap and whelp/growl kinda thing at her. It automatically makes my moms dog back off and go the other way. And this is a 70lb big boxer. lol I see this as jealously, territorial kind of behavior which I'd like to fix. So my fiancee brought a new pup home yesterday and it's a larger breed dog and I notice Stormy is showing this behavior with her now too. She only does this when I am holding her on my lap and the other dog(s) approach her. Unless it is over a bone or something else she will let a dog know who's it is. lol Could it be a female thing? How do I go about fixing this? I tell Stormy no, but to be honest, I don't punish her for anything or ever yell at her. She is completely spoiled and yeah I guess she may think she's the boss sometimes. I just don't want her snapping at animals while she's on my lap, I don't want to send the wrong message.
