My first thought was something structural. It was sad to see him in pain, it almost seems that he is constipated or it hurts bad and he may not be completeing the bm. I also wonder if the food he is on is too rich for his little body and intestines. I pray you find a good GI vet and he can help your baby. I am surprised your vet didn't already recommend the GI.
