I forgot to comment on your previous mention of changing "speak" to "talk" cause you think she was getting confused. That could very well be. When I was trying to teach Sophie to "shake" (this was just in the last month), she looked at me like I was crazy. But then I started to say "paw" instead, and she picked up on it right away. I think it is because I rub her paws and say the word paw when I do it. This was not intentionally planned. It just happened that way. So now "paw" is our shake. Try changing "speak" to "talk". it just might work! |
that is so cute
i tried to think of the best word to use for diff. commands, but i didn't think about the fact that some words are hard for them to tell apart.
i do the hand signal things, but then i also have to think of the different hand signal to use. and a lot of times i just want to talk to her instead of doing the hand signs.
