I agree 100%. Before I had my girls, I had a 130 lb bullmastiff (which people often mistake for a pit). I treated him as I treat my girls (well I can't pick him up, but he did try to sit in my lap

). So many of the questions I got about him...I could see the person's motives weren't good. I always played up the negative and was very honest and told them how expensive they were to maintain, all the health issues my poor boy had, etc, etc.
