hey everyone. thanks for the great advice. i went ahead and bought him a headcone from petsmart.
the scratch behind his jaw just wouldnt' heal. then i discovered he was scratching EVeryThinG! it became really gross.
his ears and head are almost completly healed. but he looks funny with that thing on.
i do give him breaks from it for about an hour but then he's back to scratching.
