I have been shopping for a soft-sided carrier for my 7lb Yorkie and see many that say "airline approved". Delta, however, says even soft sided carriers cannot exceed 18"long x 12"wide x12" high. A smaller plane reduces the length to 17" and 9"high. I've read that as long as it is soft, they are flexible. Delta says no, stay inside the restrictions. I am uncomfortable buying a tine carrier. Any wisdom for me?
