Also some people, when their puppies bite, will flip them over or put pressure on their shoulders (as their mom would do to show she is in charge). I will do this to Layla when she barks and wont' listen- she gets the hint quite quickly that what she is doing is not ok. But i think the yelping and ignoring will do the trick because he is so young.
