I am living in Wa State and was going to fly down to Texas on Sunday to check on our house there in Austin. Now, I'm thinking that is not a good idea...anybody have any thoughts on this? Really at first, I was thinking the media is blowing this out of proportion, but now I'm wondering if I should just stay put here and err on the side of caution. I heard they are closing schools and day-cares in New Braunfels, anyone know if this is true? |
Hi Delaina, there are supposed to be about 100 cases of Swine flu in New Braunfels, so yes, the schools and day care centers are closed - as are schools in San Antonio, Ft. Worth and many other Texas schools. If I didn't have to come to Texas right now, I wouldn't. I'm not terribly concerned about it - but I know that they are really trying hard to stop the spread since no one has any immunity to this type of flu.
