My Cleo has not encountered one yet, but my big dogs love to try and catch them. The problem is, we have Bufo (sp?) toads down here, which are very poisonous. A friend of mine's french bulldog was killed by one a few years ago. Just the tiniest secretion touching a small dogs nose can be very serious. They were brought here to help with the sugarcane crops and they have no preditors, so they are multiplying! Soon she will only be allowed to potty on a leash sp she doesnt get too curious!

For all you Floridians, especially South FL, Fish and Wildlife site should have info on Bufo Toads and treatment for animals that may have bitten or licked the toad. Pretty scary stuff and time is of the essence.
