Have you tried leaving a tv or radio on in the apartment?
I agree with the poster who said she probably sleeps most of the day. However, my guess is the action after you get home is her way of telling you she is not a happy camper that you left her. We seldom leave ours but when we do come back she pouts and literally turns her back on us when we try to engage her. She has to give us the cold shoulder about an hour and then she warms back up to us.
Personally, I can see getting her a playmate if you are there for them to get to know each other, etc. but bringing one in right now may make her even more insecure (in my opinion). I'd wait until a vacation break or something to get the new pet acclimated to the household before leaving them to go to work. |
