Sounds like to me she is going through separation anxiety. I would try to start out slowly by training her, and getting her use to the idea of you being away from her. Leave her for short periods of time . If you have a video camera , set it up so you can see exactly what she's doing when your away. Confine her to a smaller area. give her comfort toys that are safe . She needs to be trained . Since your not starting your new job until the fall their is time to work with her. Bringing a new animal may not be the right thing, because they may not get along, or there may not be enough time for them to get use to each other before you both have to start working. Jmo.
