Bless your heart! It is so traumatic when our parents get ill. I can really identify with you and your lack of family now. All I have left is my husband and I am so fortunate to have him.
Congestive heart failure sounds horrible but it is not a death sentence. I was diagnosed with it in the winter of 2003. They will give her diuretics to take to keep the fluid off (and they generally make you feel weak) but you can live a long time with the disease. I think the term is what scares family.
I know you'll stay strong for your mother. We daughters do what we have to, don't we? Know that you are in thoughts and prayers of many. Just help your Mother watch salt and her fluid retention and hopefully with no other complications, she will be okay. God bless. |
