You are talking about a different type of DNA test, the one the AKC requires for frequently used sires to prove parenthood.
The MARS Wisdom Panel is the one we are discussing in this thread. It tells you the different breeds in the DNA of a mixed breed dog.
It's confusing, isn't it?
