Cosequin DS (double strength) is for dogs 25 pounds and over. Toy breed dogs need the regular strength. The loading dose is a full capsule every day for six weeks. After that you can cut it back to 1/2 capsule if you like. Lady still gets a full capsule sprinkled on her breakfast every morning. |

Bella has grade 1 LP in her right leg and grade 2 LP in her left. From what I understand, weight control and supplements can be very effective in avoiding surgery for grades 1 and 2.
