I live in the city so I'll mostly be used it on paved surfaces. I'd love a simple bike like this (Walmart.com: 26" Men's Huffy Cranbrook Cruiser Bike, Champagne: Bikes, Scooters & Skates). This particular one gets 4 stars but kind of bad ratings.
Kyle, I have the women's version of this bike and I love it!!! When I decided I wanted a bike, it was specifically to put a doggie basket on the front and take the girls for rides. You definitely work harded to pedal (expecially if you're going uphill even at the slightest incline), but I didn't want hand brakes or gears as they would interfere with the basket on the front. And, I like the old fashioned handle bars and setting completely upright as well!!!!!!!

We have the Petcruizer wicker backet with wire framed top. The girls love bike riding!!!!!!!
