Beef liver is in lots of treats; I'm not aware that there is an age, but I would think around 3 months would be safe, if you start small. I buy the liver and boil it for 1/2 hour, let it cool and cut into small square pieces. I bake these in the oven at 200 - 250 degrees for about hour to dry them out. I keep a couple of week's worth in the refrigerator, and the rest in freezer. For about 1 dollar, (the cost of liver) you can make lots of liver treats, and Joey loves them!
