Well if your dog does'nt seem to be in pain and is still interested in life then just go with it. The neck and hip probs have you tried a Chiropractor ? I take my oldies, and if you call around lots of human chiros treat dogs for free. Ive rescued lots of pups with back problems, some completly paralized. When the vets tell me they need surgery I always try chiro first. I have yet to have back surgery for any of them. Ive had 4 paralized dogs and they all fully recovered.
P.S. Just dont rearrange the furniture
