Try using Add/Remove programs in Control Panel. Click on that, then click on "add new program". See if that will install. Once installed, you can use the compatibility wizard to run in compatibility mode for windows XP or whatever windows version works best for your software. Try clicking on your help feature, then search for compatibility mode.

That is the problem with Vista, it won't run many of the programs that XP will. I got so frustrated I dumped my Vista puter and bought a new one running XP. If you are within your return time frame, you might consider exchanging your puter for one running XP.
