While I don't have experience with dog seizures, I have a two-year-old nephew who has suffered several seizures. A PP mentioned that seizures are very active. This is only true sometimes. There are different types of seizures. My nephew has 'atonic' seizures which sound just like what your dog had. He goes limp, sometimes his eyes roll back into his head, he can sometimes respond to us, other times he cant. Then there are tonic/clonic seizures which sound like what the PP's dog suffers from. These cause the jerking, shaky movements, etc.
I'm certainly no vet but it does sound to me like a seizure. Hopefully she never has another one!! And even if she does, they can often be regulated with medication. |
