Has he been used for breeding and is he around other dogs? How was he potty trained as a puppy? Was he trained on pee pads or to go outside? From my experience with all the males I have been around is that some of them do pick up the habit of marking but it should not be a constant thing. You might want to have him checked by a vet to see if he could have a urinary track infection. If he checks out medically then you might want to invest in some belly bands and just have him wear one of those in the house. For males that like to hike their leg I have found that putting a jug in the middle of a pee pad give them a target other than the wall. Good luck to you.
