I second the expen idea! It helps a lot when you aren't home. I got June one and she now considers it her own little space where she can do as she likes. Also, get a cover for the floor underneath the expen - I just bought some vinyl (the plastic tablecloth type) and put the plastic side on the bottom.

I know some people think that it is unnecessary, but since we are in the potty training stage where there is no bladder control, I made June some panties. They hate going in them, so she is learning that the only place that she likes to potty is on her pads. I would also recommend washable pee pads - good for the environment and for your budget. (I also made these for very cheap).

Definitely chew toys to relieve boredom. And maybe something to keep her warm when you aren't there - Petstages has a nice toy that you just put in the microwave for 30 seconds.

Also, get a placemat for the food dishes - the pups can get messy.
