I also use the cheaper paper towels or Brawney. Some of the cheaper ones we get are pretty thin and not as rough. Usually the store brand ones are like that. Flour sak towels work well too. Not linty and won't scratch. I don't care for using newpaper due to getting ink all over my hands but I know it does work.
