I'm really sorry, I can't be of much help. I am having issues with my Abby.
She does let me know when she has to go out so we do pretty good during the day and evening. It's during the night we have the issue. She messes in her crate. Her crate is only big enough for her to stand up, turn around and lay down. This makes me crazy!!
I was so upset tonight. I had just taken the old paper (with pee on it ) out of the drop pan in her crate, wiped down the drop pan and bottom grate in her crate with Nature's Miracle ( of which I should buy stock in ). I left the door open to her crate. I turned around and she was in her crate. I thought ok, but as I looked closer she was peeing. She just walked right in there and peed
. I am just beside myself. She didn't even tell me she had to go.
I don't know what to do with her anymore. Right before I put her in the crate at night, about midnight, I take her out to potty. I get up about 5:45a and take her out. Sometimes, (most times) she has already messed in her crate. She is 8 months old and I would think she would be able to hold it longer than 6 hours. She is not fed late.
This just makes me crazy as the other 2 yorkies I had, never did this. I was so very lucky with them and I NEVER had a problem with potty training them. I guess I was just very, very lucky.
