I have a Jack Russell that is the same way. I read on that site not to give them excessive attention as that just reinforces their behavior for attention. Hmmmm.... I may have done that wrong! But I too, worry she will stroke out. She was out in the yard one day when a storm blew up suddenly. Lightening struck nearby and she just started running randomly around the yard, back and forth. We have an acre of the property fenced, so it was very difficult to finally catch her and get her inside. We were all drenched! From that day on, she has been a mess during any storm.

If anyone tries this and it works, please let us know. I am skeptical about gimmicks unless I know someone who can vouch for them.
