This is a great story. Actually a great lesson too learned on Maisy's part. See, it was a blessing that you were in the pool to swim to when she had her "surprised and unexpected slip into the pool". She has learned that she now needs to run a bit further away from the edge. Only took her once to figure this one out.

I remember when I took Schatzie swimming in the lake with us. Even when I stood holding her and not even being near the water, she continuously dog paddled in mid air. As if she was thinking to herself, "Im ready and able just incase my body get's in that water!!" It just cracked me up, lol.
