We have a 1 year old yorkie who will not eat. He has been on Evo chicken for about 6 months and would only eat if we put ID in it. Now he won't eat that. He will eat the ID pieces (canned) and put the EVo in his mouth and drop it on the floor. The only time he will eat is if we put the dry food in our hands.

I am not hand feeding him the rest of his life.

Now we have switched to Before Grain Buffalo by Merrick. He is showing no interest in his food. I do not want to keep feeding him canned because it is expensive, the food is going bad fast, and the vet said it is not good for him he should be having all hard food except for maybe canned one time a week, not everyday.

Any ideas on how to get him excited for food or to at least eat?
