Appetite loss is totally normal for the first few days after bringing a puppy home. Just to be on the safe side, bring a stool sample in on your well-puppy exam . . . the first days home can accelerate a case of parasites, which can result in worse than normal appetite loss.

But I wouldn't worry about it too much unless it persists and you can feel under his ribs.

Also, avoid using appetite stimulants (i.e., treats) if you can. Yorkies can be picky eaters, and you can end up in a never-ending arms race to entice your dog to eat.
