Wet v. dry . . . the eternal dog-food debate.
The primary reason we feed Buster dry food is because it's more convenient for us. There are enough good arguments on both sides of the issue that we felt comfortable giving him what works best for us. He still gobbles it up, so I don't think he knows what he's missing.
The benefits of dry kibble are overplayed and sometimes misleading; you still need to brush your dog's teeth with dry food. However, I agree that in my experience, the dogs with the worst teeth I've seen are the ones that eat wet food. My parents' golden retriever had to switch to raw food after a surgery, and his teeth turned noticeably yellow. |
