I think it confuses dogs when you allow them to do both. Punkin is outside potty trained and will tell us when she needs to go. I, personally, do not like the thought of pee pads and allowing a dog to go inside the house. I understand why some people do it (especially if you live on the 25th floor of a high rise), but if you're home all day with her I don't see why you'd need to use the pee pads. Punkin has free reign of the house as long as we're home. She spends most of her time right next to me anyway. When we're not home she happily waits in her crate and is excited when we get home. My suggestion, choose one or the other and stick with it! |
