I also took it upon myself to call the Humane Society and explain the circumstance and they assured me that they would give either my husband or I a call if someone calls in a missing Yorkie. They advised me if that should happen and she doesn't bring the dog in for 'inspection' to see if that's the right dog, they will definitely send out an Animal Control Officer and/or police.

Does She know the law? A found dog falls under the catigory of found property and if she does not place an add in the lost & found section in the news paper, Well bottom line is , SHE IS BREAKING THE LAW . And the news paper runs found adds for free.
