I just had Yogi cut and for the same reasons that you are thinking of. It gets
very hot here and we go for daily walks. Yogi's has enough hair for a pack of Yorkies, and he will be miserable this summer if it's not cut. But he has beautiful hair and I don't know if I will ever be able to let it grow out long again because of the heat. But the cut looks great on him and he must even like it because he's been strutting around here like he's hot stuff!
As beautiful as it is and as much as I'd like it long, he will be much happier with it short. And really, that's what it's all about, right?
