My two are on a strict time schedule for eating. They're about 3lbs and they eat a 1/4 cup twice a day. 10:30 and 5:30. I called the dog food maker and asked how much they needed according to their weight. I feed them Royal Canin for puppies. Each food is different, it all depends on their calorie requirements. I had the formula but it was too mind numbing to figure out. That's why I called the 800# on their bag. Good luck!
