I can speak from experience, I have gone through the same thing with Sophie Kate for the last two weeks.

It started on Easter day and we spent some time at the Emergency Vet. What they determined is she had Giardia provided an anti-biotic and something to settle her tummy. I followed up the next day with Sophie Kates regular Vet, they looked at the test results agreed with the Emergency Vet and scheduled a follow up stool sample and visit in two weeks.

Well I was back at the Vet on Friday morning after another night of the same thing. This time the Vet did an X Ray of Sophie Kate and said it appears my little princess may have ate something, they kept her for the day and guess what she passed a piece of plastic (like she chewed up the top of a water bottle).

We are on a diet of Brown Rice and Chicken for the weekend along with taking various meds. The good news is we have hard stools now.

I guess I would ask did you dog perhaps eat something and cannot pass it? Has the Vet taken an X Ray? Those are the two things I thought of after reading your post.
