I should get the vet to check this out but it may be just a soft palette as that is often a fault with the breed. If so it is nothing too serious. Does your yorkie do it when excited or just after drinking or eating if so it may be a sign of soft palette and although it sounds dreadful it is of no concern to the yorkie. but check it out anyway with the vet so he can be sure nothing is stuck in the throat.
