I don't know if this would help but the first time we were ever going to leash our puppy, I let her drag around the leash for a bit before actually attaching it. (I kept an eye on her the entire time though to be sure she didn't tangle herself in it.)
By the time I was ready to hook her up to head out, she was totally okay with the idea because she didn't view the leash as a threat. (I had also put on her harness vest even prior to letting her play with the leash.) |
