I think it's territorial with Winston, he barks to alert us of a noise or something out of the ordinary at home or in the yard. But take this same barking dog away from his own territory, and you will never hear a peep from him...not at other dogs, people, cars, noises...nothing. A lot of people we meet thinks he has no voice...but I know better, I've heard it way to many times. He's actually kind of a snob or anti-social away from home....completely a different dog.
