I had to get in on this thread. Scooter, for the most part, is not much of a barker but when he goes out into the back yard he races as fast as he can so he can beat his "sister" Bitsy and he never, never, never fails to bark as he's running. We have a neighbor who is very crabby and she gets all twisted around when a dog barks so I'm out there saying shh and shaking the shaker can (he's afraid of it). He also absolutely hates the sand cranes who fly over the house. He will bark like crazy while running with his head up looking at the birds flying overhead. For those of you who have never seen a sand crane, it is one big bird. They are over 3 feet tall and are really loud. Luckily they are not aggressive so Scoots is in no danger from them but boy does he hate them.
